As Group Head Housekeeper you will be responsible for monitoring and controlling standards in all units to ensure that the highest level of housekeeping and guest service is maintained at all times.


• To set and ensure consistent quality and standards of service and assess shortfalls of success, implementing remedial actions required throughout all units.
• To ensure housekeeping staffing levels are correct for business needs within each hotel
• Ensure pre-set staff rotas are adhered to or flexed to meet business demands
• To ensure all team members are aware of their responsibilities and are performing all duties to a consistently high standard
• To ensure that all employees adhere to the security and privacy rules when working in guest bedrooms
• To work within agreed budget guidelines on staff costs by overseeing staff rotas for each venue

Health & Safety/Maintenance
Address hazards & follow up maintenance requirements
• To be fully conversant with fire, security and health & safety policies & procedures
• Maintain a high standard of hygiene within the hotels and adhere to COSHH guidelines
• On an ongoing basis check all equipment is clean and in good repair and is replaced/fixed as required

Budget/Stock Control
To ensure all deliveries meet order requirements and quality in line with purchasing specifications and to action any discrepancies immediately
• Control stock levels of linen, cleaning chemicals and consumables to ensure costs and budgets are adhered to
• Responsible for the recording, returning and storing of lost property
• To ensure cleaning and laundry supplies are stored safely and used effectively to minimise wastage

Maintain key security at all times
To carry out audits of all units and to refer any defects which require attention to unit Head Housekeeper and General Manager

Training & Recruitment
To continually provide training to develop a high performing team
• To induct all new members of the Housekeeping team
• Assist in recruitment by selecting Housekeeping staff effectively in line with company procedures
• To attend required training courses organised by the company
• To feedback to the General Manager any training needs you identify
